This academy is to train law enforcement officers in tactics
to effectively deal with a mental health consumer
experiencing a mental crisis as well as every day interaction.
This training is for all law enforcement officers in the State of Utah.
After successful completion of this forty-hour course,
the law enforcement officer will be certified by the
Utah State Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health as a CIT Officer.
Tuition for Law Enforcement Agencies of:
Weber and Morgan counties $75.00
All other counties $150.00
You are required to attend the 40 hours of training and pass required testing to become certified.
Due to some physical aspects of this Academy, participants on light duty will not be allowed to attend.
